IG FC North Holds Open Court in Kohlu, Vows to Resolve Public Issues

KOHLU : In a significant move to bolster public-administration ties, Inspector General Frontier Corps (FC) North, Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, paid a one-day visit to Kohlu, where he actively engaged with local citizens, tribal elders, and civil officials to address pressing regional issues.

The cornerstone of the visit was a public open court, attended by a large gathering from Kohlu and Barkhan districts. Alongside Commandant Maiwand Brigade Colonel Farooq Ashraf and the Deputy Commissioners of both districts, Major General Mujtaba listened attentively as tribal leaders, youth, and public representatives presented a range of problems facing their communities. The IG FC North issued immediate on-the-spot directives to relevant authorities for the resolution of several complaints, emphasizing that the timely address of public issues is a top priority.

Addressing the participants, Major General Mujtaba lauded the brave people of Kohlu and Barkhan as “key partners in the journey toward peace and development.” He underscored the symbiotic link between peace and progress, affirming that FC Balochistan is working under a coordinated strategy with the district administration and tribal elders to achieve this dual goal. He specifically highlighted the youth as the nation’s asset, stating that providing them with modern education, skill-development programs, and better employment opportunities remains a central focus.

The visit also included a practical inspection of Intergirls College Kohlu, where the General reviewed academic activities and facilities, instructing for further improvements to the educational environment. His subsequent walk through Kohlu Bazaar allowed for direct interaction with shopkeepers and traders, who expressed satisfaction with FC’s role in maintaining peace and promoting social harmony. Participants of the open court widely praised FC Balochistan for its public-friendly initiatives and continuous peace efforts.

Meanwhile Imran Shaukat, Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta, and Imran Qureshi stated that the police carried out more than 80 intelligence-based operations over the past one and a half months to ensure the protection of life and property of citizens.

They said that police officers and personnel have made great sacrifices for the restoration of peace and stressed that public cooperation is essential to transform Quetta into a hub of peace.
