DC Quetta visits old age home, distributes warm shawls among residents

QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, visited the Old Age Home on Monday, where he met with the staff and residents, reviewed administrative matters, and reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to the welfare of senior citizens.

In this regard, DC Badini held discussions with the institution’s supervisor and staff to assess the management and overall functioning of the facility.

He also interacted with elderly and differently-abled women residing at the home, listening to their concerns and noting their needs for better care and support.

The deputy commissioner distributed warm shawls among the residents to help them stay comfortable during the winter season.

He focused on ensuring the well-being of senior citizens is a collective social responsibility that reflects the moral and cultural values of society.

Furthermore, he further assured the administration and residents of the Old Age Home that the district administration would continue to give full support to improve facilities and services for senior citizens across Quetta.

Moreover, the deputy commissioner praised the efforts of the staff working at the institution, acknowledging their dedication to serving the elderly with empathy and professionalism.
