KHANPUR: Two people attending a wedding were killed and 11 others injured in a road accident in Khanpur on Saturday after a tractor-trolley carrying wedding guests collided with a trailer.
According to initial information, the tractor-trolley was transporting guests when a trailer approaching from the opposite direction crashed into it. The impact resulted in two fatalities, while 11 people were injured.
Police and Rescue Teams Reach Site
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene after receiving information about the crash.
Rescue 1122 teams transported the bodies of the deceased and the injured to a hospital for medico-legal procedures.
Authorities said an initial assessment pointed to reckless driving as a possible factor behind the collision. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the mishap.
