Terrorism from Afghan soil is unacceptable: Sarfraz Bugti

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has applauded the inauguration of the first working women's hostel in Khuzdar district.

Quetta — Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, has declared that any act of terrorism launched from Afghan territory against Pakistan is completely unacceptable.

Speaking to the media in Quetta, he expressed satisfaction over the successful operations carried out by Pakistan’s Armed Forces against Fitna al-Khawarij and cross-border militant elements.

He praised the bravery of Pakistani soldiers, stating that they foiled the enemy’s malicious designs and made the nation proud.

Those who embraced martyrdom while defending the borders, he said, symbolize courage, honour, and steadfast resolve.

Bugti emphasized that Pakistan will defend its sovereignty at all costs, noting that the security forces effectively destroyed enemy bases and that the entire nation stands united behind them.

The Chief Minister warned that provocations by Afghan Taliban and their Indian backers pose a serious threat to regional peace.

He commended Pakistan’s military for inflicting a crushing defeat on the enemy at the border and extended solidarity to the families of the martyrs, vowing that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

It is worth mentioning that on the night between October 11 and 12, Afghan forces used Indian-supplied weapons to carry out firing and shelling across the border into Pakistani territory.

Pakistan’s Armed Forces responded forcefully, targeting Taliban networks, killing over 200 militants, injuring hundreds more, and capturing 21 enemy posts used for India-backed militancy.

Islamabad has warned the Taliban government that any further attacks in Balochistan or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will invite similar decisive action, reaffirming that Pakistan’s top priority remains the protection of its citizens and sovereignty.

Pakistan’s military and political leadership have reaffirmed their commitment to prioritizing peace under all circumstances but made it clear that any form of aggression or provocation against Pakistan will be met with a strong and decisive response.

The leadership further stated that Afghanistan has long been urged to take action against elements responsible for creating unrest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, as these groups are using Afghan soil to carry out subversive activities.
