Pakistan eliminates Asmatullah Karar Camp

ISLAMABAD: In response to cross-border aggression by Afghan security elements, Pakistan’s forces delivered a strong and decisive reply, inflicting significant personnel and material losses on the Afghan Taliban and destroying several enemy positions including The Khawarij’s facilitator Ismatullah Karar militant camp.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani operations successfully demolished the Ashraf Sar post and the Ismatullah Karar camp— both of which were identified as major militant bases — and struck a large camp in Spin Boldak that had been used to plan and launch anti-Pakistan activities.

ISPR reports that Pakistani troops have so far seized 21 hostile posts and that more than 200 militant fighters have been killed during the operations.

The ISPR statement added that the Taliban opened unprovoked fire and shelling under cover of darkness and that Pakistan will not allow its territory to be threatened from across the border.

The armed forces remain ready at all times to protect the lives and property of Pakistani citizens.

Islamabad has urged the Taliban government to eradicate Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan from Afghan soil and warned that using Afghan territory against Pakistan will not be tolerated.

The statement also accused India of acting as a principal facilitator of terrorism in the region and stressed Pakistan’s demand for immediate, verifiable action to eliminate terrorist networks based in Afghanistan.

According to ISPR, Pakistani forces successfully struck militant camps and training centres inside Afghanistan and responded to cross-border firing and shelling with coordinated ground and air operations.

Precautions were taken throughout to protect civilians and minimise unnecessary damage.

ISPR further reported that Pakistani forces temporarily captured 21 enemy posts during the operations and reiterated Pakistan’s demand that Afghanistan eliminate networks linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan and ISIS.
