QUETTA: Balochistan’s Health Minister, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, has directed officials to speed up the digitalization of the province’s health sector.
Chairing a high-level meeting, the minister emphasized that using modern technology is essential to improve healthcare services. He was given a briefing on ongoing and proposed digital projects.
The minister ordered that all digital initiatives be completed quickly and expanded to district-level hospitals and health centers to ensure the public has easy access to facilities.
The digitalization plan will include putting patient records online, digitally managing medicine supplies and stocks, and directly monitoring the performance of field staff. This is expected to greatly increase transparency and efficiency across the health department.
