Rain forecast issued for several regions including Balochistan

QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in various parts of the country, including several districts of Balochistan.

According to the forecast, rain is expected in Musakhel, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Kalat, and Mastung, while most areas of Balochistan and Sindh will likely experience hot and humid weather.

Rain is also expected in parts of Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In KP, the weather will remain partly cloudy in most districts, with chances of rain in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, and Battagram.

Scattered showers are also expected in Peshawar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Kohat.

In Punjab, although the weather will largely remain hot and humid, rain is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, and Gujrat.

Showers are also expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Additionally, isolated rain is possible in Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and Bhakkar.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 63 people have lost their lives across the country between June 26 and July 1.

Among the deceased are 30 children, 20 men, and 13 women. The report further states that 113 people sustained injuries in various incidents.

Due to heavy rains and flooding, 56 houses were completely destroyed, while 76 suffered partial damage.
