QUETTA: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has performed eye surgeries in Balochistan and other underprivileged regions of Pakistan.
Through the Noor Saudi Volunteer Program 2025, KSrelief organised 11 eye treatment camps across the country. These camps provided free surgeries and checkups. The effort was supported by the Al-Basar International Foundation and the Ibrahim Eye Hospital in Karachi.
KSrelief teams performed 4,484 eye surgeries nationwide. Many were conducted in remote towns of Balochistan, including Khuzdar, Kharan, and Naseerabad. These areas rarely get access to such advanced eye care.
Medical staff examined over 43,000 patients. They distributed 11,050 pairs of eyeglasses and provided free medical care. Thousands received much-needed treatment—many regained their eyesight for the first time in years.
Balochistan, with its scattered population and limited health infrastructure, benefited immensely. Patients from rural villages traveled miles to reach these camps. For many, this was their first chance to receive specialist care.
“This effort shows Saudi Arabia’s deep humanitarian concern for Pakistan’s most neglected areas,” said a local doctor in Khuzdar.
KSrelief has completed hundreds of aid projects in Pakistan. It supports health care, food, education, shelter, and disaster relief. Balochistan remains one of the key beneficiaries of this support.
