QUETTA : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) central leader and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, has congratulated the nation and the armed forces on the first anniversary of what he termed the “victory of the May 9 Battle of Haq,” asserting that Pakistan’s security and sovereignty are non-negotiable.
In a congratulatory message, Zehri, who also serves as the Chief of Jhalawan and a member of the Balochistan Assembly, stated that the Pakistani armed forces crushed India’s “evil intentions and dreams” over the past year. He declared that it has become clear to all anti-national elements, including India, that any nation casting a dark eye on Pakistan will receive a befitting reply and be taught a lesson.
“The entire nation is proud of the President and Field Marshal under whose leadership the Pakistan Army thwarted all the enemy’s intentions,” Zehri said, without specifying the names but clearly referencing the country’s top military and civilian leadership.
Zehri further claimed that following the victory in the “Battle of Haq,” Pakistan is now being perceived globally as a strong, dignified, and powerful state, with its honor and prestige significantly enhanced on the international stage.
He praised the armed forces’ professionalism, courage, and commitment to national defense, stating that their actions on May 9 proved that Pakistan’s military is considered “one of the best and most powerful forces in the world.”
The remarks come amid ongoing political and security tensions in the country, with the term “Battle of Haq” being used by government allies to frame recent counterterrorism and geopolitical successes.
