Where is rain and hail expected in the next 2 to 4 hours? Meteorological Department has informed

Pakistan’s meteorological authorities have forecast rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in several parts of the country over the next few hours, prompting relevant departments to issue alerts and precautionary advisories.

In this regard, the rain is expected during the next two to four hours in Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Kashmore, and Ghotki. The department also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall in Dadu, the Kirthar mountain range, Awaran, and surrounding areas.

The PMD has issued a weather alert warning residents and local administrations to remain vigilant as changing weather conditions may affect routine activities and transportation in some regions.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued alerts to all district administrations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following forecasts of widespread rainfall from Wednesday until June 5.

In this regard, the rain and hailstorms are expected in Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, and Malakand. Similar weather conditions are also likely in Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, and Battagram.

The forecast further indicates the possibility of rain and strong winds in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, and Kohat. Authorities have also predicted thunderstorms and rainfall in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Tank.

The PMD has also announced the beginning of a new spell of rains in various parts of the country, raising concerns about possible weather-related disruptions.

In addition, flash flooding may occur in vulnerable areas of Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand if rainfall intensifies during the forecast period. Residents living near streams, rivers, and mountainous slopes have been advised to remain cautious and follow instructions issued by local authorities.
