Meanwhile Malaria Outbreak Spreads in Dera Murad Jamali, Hundreds Hospitalized

A rapid outbreak of malaria has gripped Dera Murad Jamali, the divisional headquarters of Nasirabad, along with other nearby areas, leaving hundreds of men, women, and children ill and forcing many into hospitals.

The outbreak has been linked to the accumulation of dirty rainwater in streets and neighborhoods following recent rains. The stagnant water has led to a sharp increase in mosquito breeding, causing malaria to spread quickly and take on epidemic proportions, local sources said.

Hospitals in the region have reported a surge in admissions, with patients showing high fever, body aches, and other malaria symptoms. Medical facilities are struggling to cope with the influx.

In response, political parties and public circles have appealed to the Nasirabad Health Department to launch an immediate spraying campaign in and around Dera Murad Jamali to control the mosquito population and prevent further spread of the disease.
