Trump Claims Iran Asked to Stop Bombing, Tehran Denies Any Contact

Iran Fires Back at Trump

TEHRAN : US President Donald Trump announced that the bombing of Iran will cease soon, claiming that Iranian leaders have requested an end to the strikes. However, Tehran immediately rejected his statement, denying any direct communication.

In an interview with a US television network, President Trump said he had held direct talks with Iranian officials. He also stated that US warplanes are operating inside Iran and emphasized that Israel is not involved in the ongoing attacks on the country.

“The bombing will be stopped soon. Iranian leaders have asked for it to stop,” Trump said, without providing specific details about the alleged conversations or a timeline for the cessation of hostilities.

An Iranian official swiftly rejected the US president’s claims, telling state media that there has been no contact whatsoever with President Trump. The official characterized Trump’s statement as an attempt to avoid a full-scale war, dismissing it as a political maneuver rather than a reflection of reality.

There has been no independent verification of Trump’s assertions regarding direct talks or Iranian requests. The Pentagon has not issued an immediate comment on the president’s remarks about warplanes operating inside Iranian airspace.

The exchange comes amid heightened military tensions following recent US strikes on Iran and Iranian retaliation against US bases in Erbil, Iraq
