ANKARA: The entertainment industry is in deep mourning following the sudden demise of renowned Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç, globally celebrated for his stellar performance as “Mikhail Kosses” in the hit historical series Kuruluş Osman, who was found dead at his residence in Istanbul.
The 51-year-old star was discovered unresponsive sitting in a chair inside his apartment located in the Kağıthane district by his close friend, Özlem E.
After failing to establish contact with the Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç since September 3, his concerned friend used a spare key to enter the premises and immediately alerted emergency services.
Upon arrival, medical teams officially confirmed that Serhat Mustafa Kılıç had passed away.
Initial police inspections revealed no signs of physical assault or forced entry, though preliminary statements noted that the acclaimed Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç had previously faced health battles, including lymphoma.
Authorities have transferred his mortal remains to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of his sudden death, while an official investigation remains underway.
Graduating with high honors from Bilkent University’s Theater Department in 1998, Serhat Mustafa Kılıç built an illustrious multi-decade career spanning prestigious theater stages, critically acclaimed cinema, and major television blockbusters like Ezel, Seksenler, Teşkilat, and Kuruluş Osman.
Beyond mainstream acting, he cemented his cultural footprint by founding his own fine arts academy in 2014 and earning international recognition, including a Cannes Film Festival presence with Kış Uykusu (Winter Sleep).
