KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in coordination with a sensitive intelligence agency, conducted targeted operations across various areas of Karachi and arrested two terrorists belonging to a banned organization.
The arrested individuals are identified as Allah Dino and Faraz Ahmed.
According to CTD officials, operational teams recovered weapons and explosive materials from the possession of the culprits, and formal cases have been registered under terrorism clauses.
Faraz Ahmed, a previously wanted criminal, planned attacks on sensitive installations and confessed to executing these operations alongside his accomplices.
Furthermore, Faraz Ahmed is directly involved in the targeted killing of a doctor at a dental clinic in the Saddar area of Karachi.
The individuals were actively planning bomb blasts in the city.
Following the arrests, the CTD launched a comprehensive manhunt to apprehend the facilitators linked to the network.
