16-Year-Old from North Waziristan Becomes Pakistan’s Youngest Chartered Accountant

MIRANSHAH: Abdul Rehman Khan Dawar, a student from the tribal district of North Waziristan, has proven that talent knows no boundaries by completing his ACCA at the remarkable age of just 16 years and 11 months.

Despite limited educational facilities and difficult circumstances in his hometown, Abdul Rehman has achieved the honor of becoming the youngest chartered accountant in Pakistan.

He has broken the previous record held by Sameera from Karachi, who completed her ACCA at the age of 17 years and 8 months. Abdul Rehman now sets a new benchmark by finishing the qualification at 16 years and 11 months.

Speaking to a private TV Geo News, Abdul Rehman shared that he belongs to Miranshah Tehsil in North Waziristan — an area where educational facilities are virtually non-existent. Nevertheless, he credited his success to hard work, perseverance, and extraordinary intelligence.

Abdul Rehman said that his siblings are also educated. He completed his ACCA at age 16, and at the same age, he also obtained a bachelor’s degree from Oxford Brookes University, London.

According to Abdul Rehman, he has also received the distinction of being counted among the second youngest chartered accountants in the world.

He emphasized that the purpose of his success is not merely personal development but also to send a powerful message to students from remote and backward areas: where there is determination and hard work, a lack of resources cannot be an obstacle to success.

Abdul Rehman Dawar stated that the youth of areas like Waziristan possess immense potential — they only need opportunities and guidance. He expressed his hope that his success would serve as a symbol of hope and courage for the youth of tribal districts, especially students, encouraging them to move forward in higher education and professional fields.
