Concerns over Teachers’Absence from Basmia School

Basima: Councillor Mir Muhammad Qasim Isa Zai has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition of the Government Primary Boys School in Kili Chot, stating that teachers posted at the school have remained absent from their duties for a long time, putting students’ educational future at serious risk.

In his statement, he said that since the beginning of 2026, the teaching process at the school has been almost completely suspended.

Local residents are reportedly unaware of which teachers are officially appointed there and who is responsible for educating the children.

The continued absence of teachers has raised serious questions about the performance of the education system.

He emphasized that children from poor families are the most affected by this situation, as their parents cannot afford private educational institutions due to financial difficulties.

As a result, these children are being deprived of their basic right to education, while children from financially stable families continue to study in private schools without difficulty.

Mir Muhammad Qasim Isa Zai further stated that education is a fundamental right of every child, and negligence in providing this right is unacceptable.

He said that teacher absenteeism not only reflects the weakness of the education system but also represents serious negligence, the burden of which is being borne by innocent students.

He urged the concerned authorities to take immediate notice of the matter, initiate strict action against absent teachers, and ensure the restoration of academic activities at the school so that the future of the children is not further harmed.
