ISLAMABAD: Following impressive performances, Pakistani and Sri Lankan women cricketers have achieved notable advancements in the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings.
Pakistan’s experienced batter Sidra Amin climbed to the ninth position, breaking into the top ten and surpassing Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, fueled by scores of 57 and an unbeaten 100 in the series’ first two innings.
National cricketer Gull Feroza jumped 18 spots to secure the 54th position, while Sri Lanka’s Vishmi Gunaratne improved by 16 places to reach a career-best 39th position.
Additionally, Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama advanced three spots to joint 17th, which is also a career-best ranking.
In the bowling rankings, Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu advanced to the 32nd spot, while maintaining the eighth position in the all-rounders list.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s Umm-e-Hani and Syeda Aroob both made significant progress in the ODI bowling rankings by climbing 11 spots each, placing them at the 53rd and 63rd positions respectively.
