Security Forces Kill 8 Khawarij Trying to Infiltrate from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed eight militants in a timely operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted a movement of Fitna al-Khawarij militants in the area.

The killed militants were reportedly backed by India, and forces recovered weapons and ammunition from their possession.

The ISPR stated that the Afghan Taliban’s failure to manage the border effectively underscores Pakistan’s long-standing concerns. It urged the Taliban government to prevent Afghan territory from being used against Pakistan.

The operation is part of a nationwide crackdown against terrorism under the “Resolve Against Terror” initiative. Security forces have intensified actions against groups supported by foreign powers.

Earlier, ten militants were killed in an operation in Bara, Khyber, and three more were eliminated in an intelligence-based raid in Bannu. Several militant hideouts were destroyed in these operations.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the officers and personnel of the security forces for their success.

He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and said the entire nation stands alongside the armed forces in this unwavering fight.
