ISLAMABAD: Security Forces Kill 10 Militants in KP Operations carried out in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 15 and 17, 2026, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Six Pakistan Army soldiers were also martyred during the operations and an attack on a security forces convoy.
According to ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area. During the operation, troops targeted militant hideouts, resulting in the deaths of six militants following an intense exchange of fire.
Security Forces Kill 10 Militants in KP Operations
In a separate clash in Hangu, security forces killed four more militants, bringing the reported total to 10 during the operations conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
ISPR said that on September 17, a security forces convoy was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED). The attack resulted in the deaths of six soldiers.
The military’s media wing said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants killed during the operations. According to ISPR, the militants were involved in several terrorist activities in the area.
Security forces are continuing clearance operations in the affected areas to locate and neutralise remaining militants, ISPR said.
The military’s media wing added that counterterrorism operations by security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
ISPR said the sacrifices of the soldiers reinforce the country’s resolve to protect its people and maintain national security.
The latest operations come amid continued security challenges in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces have conducted intelligence-based operations against militant groups. The authorities have maintained that such operations will continue alongside broader counterterrorism efforts.
