Punjab Announces 460 Scholarships for Balochistan Students

QUETTA: The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has announced 460 scholarships for talented and deserving students from Balochistan for the 2025–26 academic year, officials said.

The scholarships will be offered in collaboration with the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF). The initiative aims to support high-achieving students in accessing quality higher education.

Officials said students who secured at least 60 percent marks in matriculation, intermediate, or technical board exams in 2025 from Balochistan are eligible to apply. Students enrolled in BS and Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) programmes can also apply.

For MS and MPhil programmes, applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or 60 percent marks. They must also be enrolled in a public sector university in Balochistan.

Applicants must hold a Balochistan domicile. Their parents’ monthly income must not exceed Rs60,000.

Candidates are required to submit application forms along with verified documents, including academic certificates, identity documents, domicile, income certificate, and passport-size photographs.

Applications must be submitted through the focal person of the relevant educational institution to the BEEF office. Officials said incomplete or direct applications will not be accepted.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti welcomed the initiative. He said it would help students from the province gain access to quality educational institutions across the country.

Bugti said the government remains committed to promoting education and ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
