PM Grants Special Permission for Spectators at PSL Final

ISLAMABAD: Spectators have been allowed to attend the final of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League following approval granted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, it was said by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

The decision was announced in a statement issued on social media. It was stated that a request had been made by Naqvi to allow spectators into the stadium for the final.

Support for allowing fans was already present at the highest level, according to the PCB chairman. However, it was noted that caution had been advised due to an ongoing nationwide austerity campaign.

The campaign has been implemented in response to concerns over a potential oil crisis, linked to tensions in the Middle East and the US-Iran standoff. Efforts are being made to reduce fuel consumption across the country.

It was further stated that special permission for spectators was granted following a request by franchise owners. Appreciation was expressed by Naqvi for the prime minister’s decision.

An agreement has been reflected to balance public engagement with precautionary measures.
