FC Balochistan holds passing-out parade for 89 women recruits

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North) held a grand passing-out parade for its 68th Ladies Batch in Quetta, where 89 women completed their training and formally joined the force.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome for the Guest of Honour, the Corps Commander Balochistan. The newly inducted women were hailed as a source of pride for both Balochistan and Pakistan, and as role models for young women across the province.

The Guest of Honour congratulated all the Lady Soldiers and their families on successfully completing the rigorous training. Tribal elders, members of civil society, and prominent personalities attended the event, strengthening trust and cooperation between the Frontier Corps and local communities.

Special awards were presented to the Lady Soldiers who showed exceptional performance during training. The inclusion of local women from Balochistan in the force reflects the growing representation of women in FC Balochistan (North).

Last month, Fontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) had organised a seminar in Kech district titled “The Role of Baloch Women in Social Development” to underscore women’s contributions to the province’s educational, social, and national progress.

Over two hundred women, along with members of the Balochistan Assembly, political and social figures, teachers, doctors, and intellectuals attended the event. The panel featured former Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Provincial Minister Meena Majeed, former MPA Mahjabeen Sheeran, and Professor Dr. Shahida Habib.
