QUETTA: A resident of Pasni has announced his disassociation from his teenage son and daughter, alleging that they were taken and used by the Fitna al Hindustan’s militants.
Addressing a press conference along with his wife, Waheed Bakhsh, a resident of Pasni’s Zari Kor area, said his 17-year-old son, Sarfaraz, and his 12-year-old daughter were lured by the Baloch Liberation Army and taken away.
He questioned why minors were allegedly being influenced and used, and called on Bashir Zaib and Allah Nazar to explain what crime his children had committed.
“We stand with Pakistan and will always live and die with Pakistan,” Waheed Bakhsh said.
The statement comes amid a series of claims by families distancing themselves from individuals allegedly associated with the BYC.
The development has also been cited by authorities and supporters of the government as evidence of public opposition to militancy. However, such claims of affiliation and the circumstances involving the two minors could not be independently verified from the information provided.
