JAMAICA : Following the national test squad’s defeat in the first test, details from an internal team meeting have emerged.
According to sources, captain Babar Azam and head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed delivered brief addresses to the players.
During the meeting, Babar Azam stated that their batting is continuously collapsing, opponent team tailenders are scoring runs, and they are repeating the exact same mistakes, meaning they must find solutions to these issues.
On the other hand, head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed said that things cannot go on this way, emphasizing that they did not come here to lose and need victories, urging every player to realize their responsibility or face mounting difficulties.
Meanwhile, sources claim that former test captain Shan Masood is strongly likely to be ruled out of the second test against West Indies, with his injury rehabilitation scheduled to be completed before the tour of England, though the team management remains hopeful for his full recovery.
