WORMSLEY: Pakistan Under-19 beat England Under-19 by 200 runs in the fourth Youth ODI on Thursday to win the four-match series 3-1.
Pakistan posted 350-4 in their 50 overs after being sent in to bat.
Openers Usman Khan and Jahangir Bilal gave Pakistan a strong start. They added 148 runs for the first wicket.
Both batters scored 79 runs.
Usman faced 93 balls and hit nine fours and a six. Jahangir struck 13 fours in his 81-ball innings.
Ahmed Hussain also played an attacking knock. He scored 63 from 53 balls, including eight fours and a six.
Captain Farhan Yousaf then finished the innings strongly. He hit an unbeaten 80 from 54 balls.
Hamza Zahoor remained unbeaten on seven from two deliveries.
England struggled in the chase. The hosts were bowled out for 150 in 20.4 overs.
Ralphie Albert scored 46 from 24 balls, while Isaac Muhammad made 32 from 20 balls. The pair added 61 runs for the third wicket.
Their dismissals triggered a collapse.
Pakistan’s bowlers took the final eight England wickets for just 69 runs.
Ahmed Hussain led the attack with 3-16. Naqab Shafiq, Mohammad Siam and Jahangir Bilal took two wickets each.
Pakistan’s 200-run victory sealed a 3-1 series win over England.
