ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s medical regulator has postponed the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) exam by more than a month on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, announcing a new examination date of Sept 20.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) said on Thursday that the test, originally scheduled for Aug. 16, had been rescheduled to ensure a transparent, secure and well-organized examination process.
The council said the decision was taken in line with the prime minister’s directives to provide a smoother testing experience and better facilities for candidates.
PMDC said all other examination rules, eligibility criteria and administrative arrangements would remain unchanged unless a fresh notification is issued.

The regulator advised candidates to regularly check the PMDC’s official website and other official communication channels for updated information, instructions and any further announcements regarding the examination.
