QUETTA: Nine militants were killed in a security operation in the Kank Valley area of Mastung district in Balochistan, security sources said.
The operation was conducted as part of ongoing actions against militants under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, the sources said.
According to security sources, militants associated with Fitna al-Khawarij attempted to attack a security post in Kank Valley. Security forces responded immediately, triggering an exchange of fire.
Two militants were killed during the initial exchange of fire, while seven others were killed as security forces pursued militants attempting to flee the area, the sources said.
Security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants, along with three motorcycles, according to the sources.
One security personnel was wounded during the intense exchange of fire and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, the sources said.
Security forces said operations against militants in Balochistan would continue until the last militant is eliminated.
Earlier today, two terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan were killed in an operation in Turbat conducted by security forces.
According to details, security forces received intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in the Jausak area of Turbat. Acting on the intelligence, security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in the area under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
