QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released details of six terrorists killed in a counter-operation by Pakistani security forces after a coordinated assault on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Nokundi, Chagi district.
A suicide bomber detonated himself at the main gate on the night of 30 November and gunmen then attempted to enter the compound.
The India proxy group list shows that one of the individuals previously listed as a ‘missing person’ by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has now been identified among the terrorists eliminated during the Nokandi operation.
The BYC group, led by Mahrang Baloch, had accused security forces of abducting him and had run an online campaign about his disappearance. The Nokundi attack has renewed scrutiny of what authorities call “Fitna al Hindustan” propaganda networks and their political supporters.
According to the group, its six members involved in the assault were identified as Asif Baloch, also known as Khalid Baloch; Zareena Rafiq, also known as Tranag Maho; Nabeel Ahmad, also known as Ustad Adil Baloch; Mir Jan Meral, also known as Janan Baloch; Inayat Sahil, also known as Major Gwahram Baloch; and Ghulam Jan Baloch, also known as Istaal Baloch.
The attack involved an explosive-laden vehicle carrying ~500 kg of explosives. The vehicle and weapons originated from Afghanistan. A Florida-plated car was smuggled into Pakistan, while the weapons match US military equipment left behind in Afghanistan.
