WASHINGTON: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Thursday issued a forceful rejection of all Iranian military claims regarding the latest round of hostilities, stating that no American aircraft were destroyed and that all incoming missiles were successfully intercepted.
In an official statement, CENTCOM categorically denied Tehran’s assertions that its forces had breached a U.S. naval blockade or inflicted any damage on American assets. The command confirmed that Iranian missiles and drones “failed to reach their intended targets,” with all projectiles being thwarted by U.S. defensive systems.
The rebuttal comes after Iranian state media broadcast claims that its military had destroyed three U.S. F-35 fighter jets in Jordan. CENTCOM officials dismissed this assertion as “baseless propaganda,” reiterating that all U.S. aircraft remain fully operational and that no personnel were harmed.
“Iran’s claims are completely false and lack any factual basis,” a CENTCOM spokesperson said. “We have no damage to our aircraft or infrastructure, and the blockade remains fully intact.”
The exchange marks a sharp escalation in rhetorical tensions, even as CENTCOM maintains that its operational posture in the region remains unchallenged.
