PESHAWAR: A 92-member delegation of the National Workshop Balochistan visited Peshawar and received detailed briefings on the security situation, counterterrorism measures, and border management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said on Tuesday.
The delegation met the Corps Commander Peshawar and discussed national and regional security issues.
Participants also visited the Governor House and the historic Bala Hisar Museum. They laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and paid tribute to fallen soldiers.
Officials briefed the delegation on how the Pakistan Army is tackling security threats in the province. They said the army and Frontier Corps are also contributing to education, health, and sports development alongside their defence role.
Members of the delegation said they observed significant improvements in the security situation on the ground. They added that their observations differed from perceptions often seen on social media.
They praised the armed forces for defending the country and countering threats effectively.
The participants described the visit as informative and commended the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps for their services.
