ISLAMABAD: Two key overseas players of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi have left for their home country to join national duty, officials said on Tuesday.

Bangladeshi cricketers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam returned home to prepare for the upcoming home series against New Zealand.

Both players featured for Zalmi in the ongoing PSL season before their departure.

Rana has been Zalmi’s most successful bowler so far, taking seven wickets in four matches.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board had extended the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for both players by one day at the request of Peshawar Zalmi and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
