Two Civilians Killed in Separate Militant Attacks in Balochistan

QUETTA: Two civilians were killed and four others were wounded in separate militant attacks in Balochistan, according to security officials.

In Ziarat, near Kuch Mor, militants attempted to set up a roadblock and stopped four local civilians, officials said.

The civilians resisted the attempt. The militants then opened fire, killing Muhammad Younis and Ehsanullah, both residents of Killi Nasak.

Another civilian, Aimal Khan, suffered gunshot wounds in the attack.

In a separate incident in Turbat bazaar, militants planted an improvised explosive device on a motorcycle near a quick-reaction force unit, according to officials.

The blast caused minor damage to security vehicles. Three civilians were wounded in the explosion.

Officials described the attackers as members of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. The government uses these terms for militant groups operating in Pakistan and Balochistan.

Authorities have launched investigations into both attacks and are searching for those responsible.
