Lt Gen (R) Aamir Riaz Reveals Hidden Links from Kabul to Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General (Retired) Aamir Riaz shared details about a long-standing covert network connecting Kabul to Balochistan, bringing several key facts to light.

He recalled meeting Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani, who once showed him a powerful photograph that carried immense significance.

According to him, the image represented far more than words could describe.

The photograph, dating back to the 1970s, showed a scene in Kabul where officials from multiple intelligence agencies were present, including Afghanistan’s KHAD, India’s Research and Analysis Wing, and the Soviet Union’s KGB.

He explained that this image revealed important aspects of past regional coordination.

He also referred to an incident from 2006–07 involving an Indian diplomat, Deepak Kaul, who was intercepted while traveling by road to Delhi after meeting representatives of Baloch militants and handing over $400,000. Due to his diplomatic status, he was sent back to India.

The account was presented as part of a broader historical pattern rather than an isolated event.
