ISLAMABAD: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived in Pakistan on Monday for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office said the visit is taking place at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
During the visit, Sheikh Jarrah will hold delegation-level talks with Dar. The two sides will review bilateral relations and discuss ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, economic partnership, and other areas of mutual interest.
The ministers will also exchange views on the situation in the Middle East, broader regional developments, global issues, and other matters of shared international concern, the Foreign Office said.
Sheikh Jarrah is also scheduled to meet Pakistan’s senior political leadership during his stay through July 29. The meetings will focus on deepening bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in various fields.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit reflects the commitment of both countries to further strengthen their longstanding brotherly relations, expand economic engagement, and advance a partnership based on shared interests.
Earlier this month, on July 18, Dar and Sheikh Jarrah held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments. During the call, the Kuwaiti foreign minister praised Pakistan’s constructive and conciliatory role in promoting regional stability, advancing peace, and encouraging dialogue to resolve disputes.
