CHERAT, Pakistan: Pakistan and Egypt have successfully concluded a joint counterterrorism military exercise, “Thunder II,” in northwestern Pakistan, a military statement said.
the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the two-week exercise took place in Cherat, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It aimed to enhance professional skills, refine operational procedures, and improve coordination between the two forces.
Pakistan’s military media wing said troops from the Special Services Group (SSG) and Egyptian special forces actively participated. Both sides demonstrated high levels of professionalism during the training.
A closing ceremony was held with the General Officer Commanding of the SSG as the chief guest. Egyptian Paratroopers Commander Major General Mohammad Saad Abdelrazek and Egypt’s defense attaché also attended.
