Ceasefire Violated: Israeli Strikes Kill 5 in Lebanon, Including Journalist

BEIRUT :  Despite a fragile ceasefire, the Israeli army has carried out fresh attacks across southern Lebanon, killing at least five people, including a Lebanese journalist.

According to Arab media reports, journalist Amal Khalil was found dead under the rubble of a destroyed building following Israeli shelling. Her body was recovered from the site of the strike.

The Israeli military claimed it killed two Hezbollah members in a drone attack in the Bekaa Valley. However, local sources report organized bombings in several areas, including the town of Al-Khayyam, where artillery was used, residential buildings were demolished by bulldozers, and a mosque was also targeted.

Lebanon’s official news agency said Israel is destroying roads and basic infrastructure in various districts, including the Ta’ir area.

In response, the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah launched a drone attack on an Israeli military vehicle, vowing further retaliation. No casualties on the Israeli side have been reported yet.
