Deputy PM Ishaq Dar reaffirms commitment to Balochistan’s prosperity in meeting with BNP delegation

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the people of Balochistan and promoting the province’s economic development during a meeting with a delegation of the Balochistan National Party (BNP).

In this regard, the meeting focused on matters relating to Balochistan’s development, public welfare, security, and economic progress. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized that the federal government remains fully committed to resolving the issues faced by the people of the province through consultation, cooperation, and sustained development initiatives.

During the meeting, Dar reasserted the government’s resolve to improve the socio-economic conditions of Balochistan and ensure that the province receives the attention and resources necessary for its long-term prosperity.

He stressed that the well-being of the people of Balochistan remains a national priority and that the government is determined to work with all political stakeholders to achieve lasting progress.

The BNP delegation discussed issues concerning the province and exchanged views with the deputy prime minister on measures aimed at strengthening development efforts and improving public welfare.

National Party President Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, who was part of the delegation, expressed his party’s support for the ongoing operation against terrorism in Balochistan.

He said that eliminating terrorism and maintaining peace are essential for ensuring sustainable development and improving the quality of life for the people of the province.

Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch also assured the federal government of his party’s full cooperation in initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare and economic prosperity of Balochistan.

He focused on that all political forces should work together in the larger national interest to strengthen peace, stability, and development across the province.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah and senior government official Tariq Bajwa. Their participation underlined the government’s continued engagement with political stakeholders on issues related to Balochistan’s development and security.
