Iran President Rules Out Surrender Under Pressure

Why did the Iranian president share a picture of a 4,500-year-old tree?

TEHRAN : Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that any attempt to force Iran into surrender through pressure and coercion is nothing more than a “fantasy.”

In a series of posts on the social media platform X, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s consistent commitment to its international promises and emphasized the country’s active efforts to avoid war.

“Iran has consistently kept its promises,” Pezeshkian wrote. “Iran has sought every way to avoid war.”

The president’s remarks come amid ongoing tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and regional policies, with Western powers maintaining sanctions and diplomatic pressure on Tehran. Pezeshkian, however, made it clear that such tactics would not yield the results their proponents might hope for.

He stressed that from Iran’s side, all diplomatic pathways remain open. The president asserted that engaging in diplomacy rooted in mutual respect is not only wiser than armed conflict but also safer and more sustainable for all parties involved.

“Mutual respect in diplomacy is a wiser path than war,” Pezeshkian said. “Diplomacy based on mutual respect is safer and more sustainable.”

His statements signal a continued openness to negotiation, provided that interactions are conducted on an equal footing, without coercion or unilateral demands. While firmly rejecting pressure campaigns, the Iranian leader left the door open for dialogue, framing respect as the essential foundation for any lasting resolution
