The Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) is playing a significant role in transforming Pakistan’s agricultural sector by introducing modern farming technologies, digital monitoring systems, and innovative support mechanisms aimed at improving farmers’ productivity and livelihoods.
In this regard, the GPI has provided a new direction to agricultural development through the promotion of smart farming practices and the adoption of advanced technological solutions.
The initiative has facilitated the use of modern agricultural tools and digital systems, enabling farmers to enhance crop management and increase overall efficiency.
One of the key components of the initiative is the implementation of the Land Information and Management System (LIMS) Pakistan, which utilizes satellite monitoring and advanced agricultural advisory services.
The initiative has also supported the rehabilitation of barren land, encouraging agricultural investment and creating new opportunities for exports. Farmers in various regions have welcomed these developments, describing them as important steps toward strengthening the agricultural economy and improving rural livelihoods.
This has helped reduce operational challenges and enabled farmers to access essential resources more efficiently.
Meanwhile, these efforts have brought greenery, improved infrastructure, and created new employment opportunities. Improved access to remote and difficult-to-reach areas has further supported agricultural activities and local economic development.
They focused on that regions such as Panjgur possess highly fertile land and could benefit significantly from sustained agricultural development programs.
In addition, farmers from underdeveloped areas stated that government-backed land development projects and solar-powered resources would prove beneficial for low-income cultivators.
They added that GPI’s introduction of modern agriculture and the establishment of Agri Malls have enabled farmers to access seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural chemicals under one roof, making farming operations more convenient and productive.
