Heavy Rain in Islamabad Triggers Traffic Safety Alert

ISLAMABAD: Heavy Rain in Islamabad continued on Wednesday, prompting the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to urge motorists and motorcyclists to take extra precautions while travelling.

The traffic police advised drivers to reduce their speed and maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead. They also urged motorists to use fog lights and stay within their lanes.

Drivers should use side mirrors and indicators properly. They should also wear seat belts at all times.

The ITP advised motorcyclists to use the extreme left lane and wear helmets while travelling in the rain.

Traffic police officers are deployed on major roads across the capital to assist and guide commuters.

The traffic police also urged citizens to follow its WhatsApp channel for the latest traffic updates.
