Overview of Gold Prices in Pakistan Over the Past 6 Months

Analyzing the trajectory of bullion trends over the past six months reveals a period of high volatility and aggressive upward momentum driven by inflationary pressures, shifting currency values, and fluctuating global economic policies.

Moving from early 2026 into the middle of the year, the local market experienced record-breaking highs that continually tested consumer purchasing power.

At the start of the six-month window, prices hovered around lower thresholds, but strong international bullion demand quickly pushed domestic rates higher.

Throughout the spring months, localized spikes frequently crossed major psychological barriers, propelled by a softening local currency and rising international spot rates which touched historic peaks.

Despite occasional profit-taking corrections—such as temporary dips mid-season—the overarching trajectory remained heavily bullish.

Market strategists attribute this sustained surge to persistent global geopolitical tensions and institutional investors turning aggressively toward safe-haven assets.

As central banks worldwide adjusted monetary policies, retail and commercial demand inside domestic bullion centers remained exceptionally robust.

Consequently, local rates consistently recovered from minor dips, establishing a new normal baseline that places precious metals at historically elevated valuations heading toward the final quarters of the year.
