GUYANA: A match in the West Indies Championship at Vivian Richards Stadium between Leeward Islands and Trinidad & Tobago was called off due a dangerous pitch.
Play was stopped on the third day after the bounce became uneven and unpredictable, raising serious safety concerns for players.
During the match, Jeremiah Louis was struck hard by a delivery from Jayden Seales and was taken to the hospital after on-field treatment.
He is now reported to be in stable condition. Cricket West Indies stated that necessary steps will be taken to improve the pitch before the next game.
