LISBON: Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez after a decade-long relationship.
According to media reports, the 41-year-old Ronaldo and 32-year-old Rodriguez tied the knot in a private ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11, with their five children also attending the wedding.
Rather than holding a large ceremony or making a detailed announcement, the couple shared a photograph of their wedding rings on social media to announce the news to their fans.
The marriage comes nearly a year after Rodriguez announced their engagement in August 2025. At the time, she shared a picture of her engagement ring and wrote that she was with Ronaldo “in this life and in all my lives.”
Ronaldo and Rodriguez first met in 2016 when Rodriguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Italy.
The couple made their first public appearance together on the red carpet at the FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in 2017. Ronaldo later shared a photograph with Rodriguez, making their relationship public.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodriguez also has a close relationship with Ronaldo’s other children, Cristiano Jr, Eva and Mateo.
