CM Bugti's Successful Talks End Ziarat Cross Sit-In

QUETTA / ZIARAT: The days-long sit-in protest at Ziarat Cross has safely concluded and the strategic highway has been fully reopened for all types of traffic following successful direct negotiations led by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Chief Minister Bugti personally visited the sit-in site to engage directly with the protestors. He listened comprehensively to their demands and grievances, immediately announcing swift executive measures for their resolution.

To ensure a structured outcome, the Chief Minister constituted a formal committee tasked with evaluating the protestors’ grievances and formulating actionable recommendations.

Furthermore, he formally invited the protest’s representative delegation to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat for conclusive high-level talks, reassuring them that all legitimate demands would be addressed strictly in accordance with law, merit, and justice.

While addressing the participants of the sit-in, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti warned that hostile elements are attacking Balochistan on two fronts:

“On one hand, the enemy is cold-bloodedly murdering innocent civilians, and on the other, they are actively trying to destroy the economic livelihoods of our people—all while systematically shifting the blame onto state institutions.”

He emphasized that under such critical circumstances, absolute national unity, cohesion, and solidarity are vital to neutralizing foreign-sponsored conspiracies.

CM Bugti reiterated that the Government of Balochistan remains accessible around the clock to address public grievances, maintaining that all disputes or grievances can only be resolved through dialogue, mutual trust, and constitutional means.

He appealed to the public to prioritize peace, brotherhood, and the supreme national interest by extending full cooperation to state apparatuses.

Following the Chief Minister’s ironclad assurances and positive intervention, the core committee of the protest officially announced the end of the Ziarat Cross sit-in, allowing vehicular and commercial traffic to resume normalcy.
