Canadian Foreign Minister and Army Chief Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Her Excellency Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Canada.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir outlined Pakistan’s perspective on global peace and regional stability, emphasizing the critical need for cooperation and collaborative strategies to tackle shared security challenges.

The Canadian Foreign Minister praised Pakistan’s enduring sacrifices and ongoing efforts in the fight against terrorism, alongside its constructive contributions toward promoting peace and stability.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties and expanding engagement in defense and security cooperation.
