KARACHI: The municipal authorities in Karachi have granted permission to establish five designated cattle markets across the city ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
The approved locations for the cattle markets include Sunday Bazaar Sector 11-D in North Karachi, KMC Ground near Safari Park, Gulistan-e-Johar Blocks 5 and 6, Bakra Piri in Lyari, and areas surrounding the Attock Petrol Pump in Korangi.
The decision has been taken as part of broader administrative efforts to ensure convenience for citizens during the busy festive period.
In this regard, the special arrangements will be put in place to maintain cleanliness, manage traffic flow, and ensure adequate security at all sites.
So far, the municipal representatives mentioned that these measures are designed to create a safer and more efficient marketplace for both buyers and sellers.
The administration also called on the public to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations issued for the markets, ensuring a smooth and disciplined process throughout the Eid season.
The initiative indicates the city administration’s commitment to improving public services and managing large-scale seasonal activities in a coordinated manner, while prioritizing the safety and convenience of residents.
