Balochistan Govt Splits Quetta Into East and West

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has officially split Quetta district into two separate administrative districts, according to a notification issued on Saturday.

Under the new administrative structure, Quetta Division will now comprise three districts.

The former Quetta district has been divided into Quetta East and Quetta West.

Quetta East will include the Sariab, Saddar and City sub-divisions.

Quetta West will comprise the Kuchlak, Barori and Panjpai sub-divisions.

The government has also transferred Mastung district from Kalat Division to Quetta Division as part of the administrative reorganization.

The changes take effect under the official notification issued by the Government of Balochistan.
