MUZAFFARABAD: The third phase of elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is underway, with unofficial and preliminary results continuing to emerge from four constituencies.
In this sense, as per the latest unofficial results, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is leading on two seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Awami Dast-o-Bazu are ahead on one seat each.
The counting process is continuing, and the results remain subject to change as votes from different polling stations are compiled and consolidated.
The third phase of the AJK elections has attracted considerable political attention, with candidates and supporters closely monitoring the counting process. Election officials are expected to announce the final and official results after completing the verification and consolidation of votes.
The emerging results could have political significance for the parties contesting the elections, particularly as the major political groups seek to strengthen their representation in the AJK Legislative Assembly.
At this stage, the figures are unofficial and should not be considered final. The final outcome will be determined only after the Election Commission completes the counting, verification and formal announcement of results.
