KOHLU: IG FC Balochistan (North) Honours Journalists at Media Awareness Workshop in Kohlu
Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (North), Major General Abid Mazhar, visited Kohlu to attend the concluding ceremony of a media awareness workshop organized by FC Balochistan.
The event was aimed at equipping local journalists and social media influencers with knowledge about modern media practices, cyber security, and information technology to effectively address contemporary challenges.
The workshop saw the participation of 40 local media professionals. During the ceremony, IG FC distributed certificates among the attendees and underscored the vital role of the media, especially during the recent Pakistan-India conflict.
He praised the media’s constructive contribution to fostering national unity and cohesion.
Tribal elders and participants expressed heartfelt appreciation to FC Balochistan for facilitating such an impactful and timely initiative for the region’s journalists and youth.
On the other hand Inspector General Frontier Corps (South) Balochistan, Major General Bilal Sarfraz Khan, revealed that FC Balochistan (South) has successfully thwarted 141 potential terrorist attacks since January 2025, preventing what could have been major tragedies.
Speaking at a seminar titled “Development and Security – A Shared Responsibility” held in District Kech, he stated that the FC not only ensures security but also plays a leading role in creating a conducive environment for development and welfare activities.

He highlighted the organization’s efforts, including constructing houses for widows, restoring schools, religious seminaries, and health centers, organizing free medical camps, installing solar systems and RO plants, promoting sports activities, holding jirgas and public hearings to address civic issues, establishing the FC Khidmat Markaz, and supporting youth in education and guidance.
