FC South Foils 141 Terror Attacks Since January

QUETTA: Inspector General Frontier Corps (South) Balochistan, Major General Bilal Sarfraz Khan, revealed that FC Balochistan (South) has successfully thwarted 141 potential terrorist attacks since January 2025, preventing what could have been major tragedies.

Speaking at a seminar titled “Development and Security – A Shared Responsibility” held in District Kech, he stated that the FC not only ensures security but also plays a leading role in creating a conducive environment for development and welfare activities.

He highlighted the organization’s efforts, including constructing houses for widows, restoring schools, religious seminaries, and health centers, organizing free medical camps, installing solar systems and RO plants, promoting sports activities, holding jirgas and public hearings to address civic issues, establishing the FC Khidmat Markaz, and supporting youth in education and guidance.

On the occasion of “Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day), IGFC emphasized the importance of national unity and expressed hope that the people of Kech would stand shoulder-to-shoulder with security institutions and the administration in fulfilling their responsibilities.

The seminar concluded with the announcement of the formation of the Kech Civil Liaison Committee, aimed at fostering coordination, effective communication, and resolution of public issues.

Participants from various walks of life—including members of the Balochistan Assembly, local politicians, civil administration, representatives of security forces, business leaders, lawyers, doctors, intellectuals, tribal elders, and press club members—attended the seminar and pledged to work together with security forces in a proactive and responsible manner.
